Xiaomi Redmi and Huawei have evil task killer services that interfere with the AppLock service. For this app to work, you need to add AppLock to allowed apps in those devices' security settings.

Xiaomi: Security > Permissions > Autostart, find AppLock and enable autostart.

Huawei: Phone Manager App > Protected Apps > Add AppLock to the list.
